New Job

Last month I started my new job. I'm working for a small business called The Taurean Corp. The founder's sign is a Taurus so that is why it's aptly called Taurean. I met him through a colleague at Booz Allen. For some reason I felt the need to keep in touch with him when he left Booz. It's amazing the people that God places in your path.


Like a conductor, He beautifully orchestrates the pieces in a harmonious sequence.If I hadn't stayed at Booz as long as I did, I wouldn't have met Micah. Nor would I have met Trey who later introduced me to the owner of the Taurean Corp, Jeff. I am incredibly blessed. On a daily basis I have to remind myself of this and of all the blessings God has given me.


This is a photo of me at my first week at my job. Pretty awesome, huh?!! Nevermind the fact that I look like a total freak! The first week I got to go to a team building event at this beautiful place called the Purple Sage ranch in Bandera. It's an annual event that the company has, and I just so happened to start at the same time as the event. So, I got to meet my new colleagues in a fun and casual way. This is me jumping off a pole to grab a target. It was scary, but it was a huge adrenaline rush. I'm glad I did it.


The other photos are of the week at the ranch. One day out of the week we visited a place called Meadowland, a home for boys and girls who have suffered physical or emotional abuse. Taurean does a lot of volunteer work for them. We had a pizza party with them on Wednesday of that week. It was a great experience to meet the kids. There will be many more awesome experiences to come with this bunch.
